    Default spade fly

hi guys, I am headed to the bulkley next week for a couple of days and was wondering if anyone knows what a spade was. A friend of mine is a local in Smithers and he said to bring some max canyons and some spades, but I can't find much specific info on it.
    Thanx in advance,
    Brian

    Body: Black Chenille
    Hackle: Grizzly
    Hook size: 6-1/0

    Hope this helps.

Here is a picture of a Purple Spade!! There are many different spade patterns but the most common spade for the Bulkley is the orange butt spade, TMC 7999 size 4-6. I have some but they are packed in a box, somewhere in storage?? If I find them I will post one but im sure other memebers here know which fly I am talking about, maybe they will post one! Cheers.

Thanks guys. Rick, man, you tie some sweet flies. Jim's dressing was similar to one I found but it had a peacock herl body. The orange butt spade is the one I think I am looking for. Hopefully someone will have a pic or dressing. I have some alec jackson hooks in #3, would that work, or be too big.
    Thanx again guys,
    Brian

    Default uh huh

    You got it.
    I love seal.
    So translucent and yummy.
Guinea is also used for the hackle collar.

    No rib on that one.
You can put one on if you like.
