Well I finally harvested my first deer

A whitetail spike.

It is going to be good eating.

Let's say I left the house at 4:10 and was home at 6:00.
Yay.
And I had to drag him up a bit of a hill by myself.

Just finished skinning him out.
He will be nice and cool in no time.

it has been your week - a great day on the Adams - a Buck whitetail and then another day on the Adams to come.

I may never have the opportunity to get out again like I have this year.
My wife and I are in a transitional place in our lives right now and we are taking every opportunity to make the most of it.
This little buck is going to make the winter a little easier.
Nothing like having some delicious venison in the freezer.
Now to go pick up another tag for whitetail.
