    Default casting different flies.

i went out and f-i-s-h-e-d that spot i was trying to find some info about and did catch one. and i think i saw some coho too. but my question is why with different flies does your cast alter. is it the wind resistance on the size or what? i was casting a wooly bugger and it casted fine. but then tried a carrey special and it casted much smoother and faarther. can someone tell me why?

Way to go. What did you catch? If you are using a heavy, bulky fly, try to use a shorter, stiffer leader and it will turn over b etter.

Professori. Caught a trout. Very small, released well for another day.
