nice fishmight have to try my luck on the fly rod when the water comes up a bit 8)

Hello fellow anglers,
I caught this 9lb Coho on Friday, in the lower river, on an olive marabou/chenille/gold french tinsel/tungsten bead headed bugger. Awesome fight, lots of aerials and the rolls. Lots of fish (Coho, Chum and Spring) in the river, so should be a good few weeks ahead.

nice fish way to go!
Nice one! Did you get it in the mainstem, or in the settling pond?
Cheers,
Nicole
What weight is your rod? I see guys near the bridge fly flying, but I've only got a 6 weight rod and don't think it will handle a 9 lb coho? Thoughts?
Or, does anyone have an 8 weight rod for sale???
Hello
I fished my 8 wt Reddington RedFly with a Rio sink tip, cast into the pool to the right in the photo and stripped back line in fast short tugs. The take was solid.
Hope this helps.
