Well besides being full of Wind, many times hot air,,,we had a few friends over last evening for a small dinner party,(4) about 10 minutes before 6 the winds cameup here on this side of the Mountain and of course took out the Power. Many candles later and great food ...plenty of laughs at my expense (and a few at Val's) I went into a sombre mood and realized that the weather was like that on my birth Day. Apparently my Dad had to carry my Mom into the hospital that Morning in October...in New Brunswick...of course I was trying to get out for some fresh air...and my Dad ,so I am told , was holding my in ...you know where> anyway...half way up the cement steps to the front doors I decided that was enough and out I came..onto the hospital steps in all my Glory...with (so I'm told) screaching nurses freaking out about this baby on the steps covered in Maple Leaves...I wonder why Nature is so engrained in my SOUL.
Thanks Guys...great to be part of this team

Hey happy belated BDay Bud! Was out on the water and didn't get a chance to see this before now.
And yes, despite the hurricane force winds on the north island the fishing wasn't bad at all. We even managed to keep camp from blowing away...

Hey Finn; Did you get a chance to get into any of those Massive Coho jumping all over the place? There are some very big Coho this year...a 36lb fish has been landed and several others in teh 30 lb. range...but not in my hands yet...likely Wednesday or Thursday.

The nimpkish was running quite high when we were looking at it Saturday. With the heavy rains in the forecast we decided to hit some of the lakes in the sayward forest area instead. Weather truly was horrendous, but the fishing wasn't half bad. Landed a few trout, had a good time.
The pinks this year were large on the north island as well. Perhaps a sign of better ocean survival?
