This is my favorite rod for skagit casting.I have Decho 13'3'' #8. It's medium action rod with fasr recovery. I use this rod with Rio skagit 600 + T14 to 12.5', it bennds to the cork and it rocks!!! By using 15' of T14 and wading deeper, when backspace is limited, sometimes it's really hard to pick up the tip and fly from the water.
I was using it with Vision Ace head of 31 gram (480 grains) + intermediate and floating 10' polyleaders for underhand casting without any problems, but for that I personaly prefer faster rods.
I really like the shape of the handle on it.
have never tried it with spey lines, so no comments about that.
i just bought the DH 9136. It's my first spey setup and i haven't even had a chance to use it yet. My opinions won't be terribly valuable due to my inexperience but it's a really nice rod, great fit and finish etc. can't wait to get out and use it!!!
