What kind of epoxy?
Do they last well?
The best part is you get to pick your own rock.

I like to find a nice round river rock and drill 2 holes in it about 1' apart and 2 deep with 3/16 bit on a hammer drill. Then I take some galvanized fence wire, bend it like a long horseshoe and epoxy it into the rock. Tie a rope to it and presto! Homemade anchor. Works good for the toon, not sure about boats though.

They last as long as you don't lose them! I use a 2 part epoxy that dries like steel, can't remember the name. They also are basically free and don't do any environmental damage if you drop/lose them.
i made my anchor with a 1.5 inch think, 5" by 5" steel plate with a hole drilled in it to attatch the rope. its heavy as hell but it works lol
I cut the top off a pop can (hence the 5 cents) hang an old chunk off chain to the bottom of the can and pour in melted tire weights and voila a ten pound anchor( I weighed it). Due to the compact size and shape seams to hold quite well in marle bottomed lakes.

And when it's down on the bottom it doesn't spook the fish because it looks just like another pop can! Jk![]()
A while back Canadian Tire had their barbell weights on sale for really cheap (less than half the price of a real anchor). They are clad in vinyl, have a hole already drilled in them, and sit quite nice on the bottom.

I've been using a 10lb dumbell for a while now. Used to also use an 8lb barbell weight, but that's up at the parents cabin now for the canoe.
I really like the rock idea though![]()
Have you seen these? Looks like someone beat you to the rock idea....

These are actually line weights, but I think they sell larger ones as well.
I bet shipping costs an arm and a leg though....
