    Default Favourite reel.

What is your favourite reel for your spey sticks?

    I Love Hardys.

    I have these.

    JLH Utralight Salmon
    JLH Ultralight Disc salmon

Alex Martin " Thistle " 4 1/4, apparently this was made by Dingley, the original maker of the perfect for Hardy.

Next will be a Golden JLH Salmon, anybody have one?

I have only had 2 spey setups my first was

Loop Blue 9140 with a Loop Evotec 8twelve reel. I didnt enjoy this setup as the reel was to light for the rod so i sold it.

the setup i have now is

Echo 9140 (classic) matched with a Bauer M5 and running a Delta airflow line. now this setup i can fish all day and i love it

    Default Spey reels

Perfects are perfect but find they offer the best balance with the old cane 2 handers so use the Angels with the graphite rods. The ultralights are pretty fine as well.
But Hardy all the way for nearly 50 years.
