So Friday me and 6 buddies did our annual overnight hike. We went to Greendrop because I insisted on hiking to a lake and it's an easier hike because some of the guys aren't in peak hiking condition . I didn't take a tube along because my pack was already 30 pounds. We arrived and set up camp and me and two other guys went looking for trout. I was the only one with a fly rod. We found a log sticking out into the water that I could stand on and cast nicely. The largest fish I caught was 8 inches so that was kind of dissapointing. A carey special on a full sink line did the trick. We didn't have any luck the next morning. But it wasn't meant to be a fishing trip. Just a fun hike hanging out with the guys. I think greendrop gets lots of fishing pressure because it's a hike in lake so people think fishing will be good. But since the hike's easy it gets fished alot. On the hike down we passed people coming up with rods every 10 minutes. Next year i'll look into other lakes.
