I'm going to miss it

Well it looks like I am going to miss my trip up Island for some beach fishing this year.

Anybody else doing any beach fishing to report so I can live vicariously through you?

Beach fishing is going to suck again this year Fred...stay away...over the past week I have only landed 22 Sea Run Cutties on a dry...,that sucks,nothing over 3 lbs though...hardly worth the effort...
SOme friends of mine just about have had their fill of catching too many Pinks in the Campbell River too. And the 16 Pinks they took home after a few days beach fishing around Port McNeil. I am happy they are pooped because they won't have to release more fish off Nile Creek and the Oyster Estuary.
I doubt that there will be many more 10 lb. Pinks like we had last year...

SalaR, you have managed to get me even more jacked up about the upcoming months. I'm going to the north Is. at the end of july, end of aug, end of sept, end of oct... pretty excited. I'm taking my dad (from scotland) and we're hitting some beaches the last week in july- i know it will make his trip if he even gets one pink! I have my fingers crossed...

Did a little exploring today with a friend....we were looking for Pinks and had sea run cutties as a back up....well as it turned out the sea runs will have to wait for another day as we found the Pinks and had a blast....here is a pic of one, of many, that we released.

Nice water...and fish toooo
Just got back from our annual trip to our annual Pink Salmon getaway...great year...landed more than 50 in less than 2 days in the Ocean..nothing larger than 7lbs...but if the fish are this big and in these numbers this early look-out...
