beach cutties victoria area

les johnson's book on cutties mentions a couple of places near victoria to beach fish for cutties, such as bazan bay, island view beach, mouth of sooke river. when is the right time of year (months?) to fish these beaches for these fish? kinda new to the area and just wanting to know where are when to fish. any tips would be great

i have seen a couple jumpers at cordova bay beach, there is a couple creeks flowin in so you might want to go check those out.
