I tried to go to Wowo Lake just outside Campbell River yesterday. I got to a gate with a security guard at it- the only access road is closed due to heavy logging activity. They open it to the public only from 6am to 6pm saturday and sunday, and stat holidays. The guy also said that its a pretty rough road out to this lake, as the last part is not maintained and has washed out in places. Luckily I had my backroad mapbook so i got to another lake, so the day was not totally ruined.

Just thought i'd throw that out there, to aviod the same disappointment for others!
