afternoon on the lake

Went out on st.mary lake yesterday for a few hours.I wasn't expecting anything much to happen as my girlfriend was with me and we would mostly be dragging flies around.We tried for 3hrs without a fish to be seen.I tend to be stubborn and don't like to quit without at least one landed.I rowed past the boat launch for one more pass through my favorite bay.Complaints of"I'm cold,and "lets go" soon turned into"oo,oo,I got one".A few minutes later a nice 18inch cutty was landed and released.I casted the large muddler towards the reads then gave the oars a crank and another slamed it.A fat 24inch rainbow.We finished the day with a couple nice ones.The lake was stocked years ago with steelhead and is also stocked with cutties.There is also large numbers of bass.
