The creek mouths on the Seymour Arm used to surrender a few fish in the fall.

I am thinking about renting a houseboat on Shuswap Lake in early September. Can anyone give any idea as to what the fly fishing conditions will be like then? Is the lake very productive for trout? Is it a deep trolling issue or can you recommend some areas on the lake to go to?
Thanks,
Roger in Seattle

I lived in Salmon Arm and built houseboats at a manufacturing/rental boat company. When I lived there (and visit) we usually troll the Shuswap. The fall should be ok around the Adams and Thompson rivers. Since I have been learning to Fly Fish the little lakes seem to be where we go. Look at fishwizard.com and zoom in on the area . Most of my coworkers fish a point just near Sicamous or into Mara Lake. The May long weekend has a couple boats being rented by nurses from Calgary ( 7 years plus) and they make girls gone wild look tame !:beerchug:
