    Thumbs up Grace Lake

Well I went up the west side of Harrison Lake just this weekend, just to check it out. There were a few promising lakes. The one that stood out to me was Grace Lake. It has three camping spots, mind you the spots were littered with garbage from the yahoos that weekend. As well as signs peppered with shots from their boomsticks. However, just standing out on the side of the lake was great. There were a few jumpers and plenty of boils from fish mouthing at the surface. Now there wasn't a hatch coming off at all, but I've heard that area has a frenzy of mosquitos, so I assume go with a mosquito pattern? I'm sure a mayfly would do just as well. But if I could get any opinions from someone who knows that lake, or at least lakes in that general area, it'd be great to get some input.

    Cheers :beerchug:

    Default Grace or Wolf?

There is always some confusion as they are labeled different on most maps. I just go with what the rec site signs say, it works for me. When I say grace I always am reffering to the one that is off the main road. Wolf is the one right beside Harrison West FSR.

Fishing there is good for small coastal fish, I really like this one it is quite scenic and a fun early season primer. Chromies are good this time of year but you are correct cky May's are also very good starting around now.

If you are fishing Grace and you find yourself kicking down a lily pad filled channel don't be afraid to hump your flotation device up and over the beaver dam at the end. You might be glad that you did.

    tight lines,

    Pat

Yes it is a very good site although not really needed for well known put and take lakes like this one. Any number of books or websites will tell you all you need to know. Good reference for other areas though.....
