Howdy yall, I am rmpearson12, same as on the sister site. I have been fly fishing for only two years. This is the first year that I have tried any kind of river fishing. For the past 40 some odd years I have been a gear, still water fisherman. I live in Abbotsford with my wife, we are emprty nesters, and own a small buisness in Abbotsford, helping kids with learning difficulties. Since we do not start work until 11:00 am I am free to go fishing in the mornings and all day on Mondays as we are closed on Mondays. Started tying flies this fall and I am trying to get better. My favorite fly to tie is a traditional General Practitioner. The guys at Reaction say that my GP's are good but some of my still water patterns, those small ones need a little work. I guess thats what happens when your eye sight starts going. I usually fish solo on the river as I do not know anyone who also gets Mondays off. Would love to hook up with someone who could give me a few tips on Steelie fishing on the fly. Do not have the gear for gear fishing and have no plans to get the gear. What to stay with flys. Still waiting for my first Steelie, figure I have about anouther 500 casts  to put in before I hook one.
