    Default Rite bobbins

Has anyone here used one? I'd like some opinions before getting a couple.

As info, I've got 3 ceramic-insert bobbins but I'm looking for some higher quality tools for the long-term.

    Default Nice

And if you go rotary you are set.
They hold any bobbin and no spooling thread like the other one.

I don't know Fred. $90 for a bobbin, there better be a few drinks before I use it, and maybe a cigarette when I am finished. For $20 I can live pretty nicely with my ceramic Griffins.

    Default It's so good

Ya but there are no extra spools to buy or spool up.
And besides, who ever said fly tieing was cheap?

Ok, I broke open the wallet and bought not one, but two of these little beauties!!! The guy in the store gave me a demo and he sold me on them in about 20 seconds.

I'm never going to use a standard bobbin again. These things give you pinpoint tension accuracy with the turn of a dial! No more bending the bobbin and hoping you get it right. I hate trial and error and the Rite bobbins completely eliminate it.

My advise to everyone (especially a newbie like myself) is to buy at least one and rememeber where you bought it...you'll be going back for more!
