If anyone here has developed or knows of a good pattern for the brook stickleback, I would appreciate some help on tying one. We have a local lake with rainbow up to 19 pounds that prefer the little dickens. Most of these minnows I have collected were around 1.5 inches in length this summer but am having a real issue with tying a productive fly. There are also brook Char in the same lake up to 5 pounds that love them.

I have recently come across a material that I have absolutely love for Pink and some Coho patterns. I'ts called cotton candy angel hair, and I dont know if anyone else has used this, but almost all my patterns have it incorporated into them.

It is a pink color, until you get it into the water when it turns a, who would have thought, a cotton candy blue color. The stuff really glows in the evenings and mornings and is just a great material. If anybody here doesnt have any I would strongly recommend you go and buy some as it is the best!
I'm going to be heading over to Nanaimo to test the beaches and rivers over the next few weeks. I've heard that they are currently schooling around the harbour there.
