Grand River Spey Clave October 15, 2011 - Bean Park, Paris Ontario 8:00am to 5:00pm

The Grand River Spey Clave originated in 2007 and over the years had become one of the biggest Claves in North America. Top instructors from around the world have attended and shown their skills in Traditional, Skagit, and Scandinavian Spey techniques on the banks of the picturesque Grand River (Lower Grand Water Shed). Scott Mackenzie and Gordon Macleod where the highlights of last year’s Clave coming all the way from Scotland.


A group of 250 plus people will gather along the banks of Bean Park, located in beautiful town of Paris. Quaint shops, excellent pubs and restaurants make Paris and The Grand River Spey Clave a perfect weekend getaway.


The Clave offers free demos buy the top instructors, equipment from the top fly fishing companies in the business, great food, and of course the camaraderie of all the speyniacs on one beautiful area.


This year the Clave will be sponsored by Friends of the Grand River will all proceeds from the raffle helping and improving The Grand River Watershed fishery.

Fly Fishing Movie Night:
Fly Fusion Magazine and FlyNation Films are putting together a fly fishing movie night for the evening after the Clave.We are working on getting a local movie theatre where the movie will be hosted.You will be able to grab your popcorn and drinks then off to watch the movies.They will be giving us the opportunity to preview movies of there various fly fishing adventures filmed during the year.
